Refugee Services – Remote in ND – Community Integration Coordinator
Become an essential member of the North Dakota Health and Human Services’ (HHS) Refugee Services division as a Community Integration Coordinator. This role offers a vital opportunity to lead community collaborations, across the state, that strengthen and guide newcomers as they become welcomed neighbors and valued contributors to the economy.
As a Community Integration Coordinator, you will establish and nurture partnerships with city governments, community organizations and resettlement agencies to facilitate refugee access to services and promote participation in local community life. You will collaborate with K-12 educational programs and other institutions to ensure the successful integration of refugee students and parents into the school system. Additionally, you will develop leadership programs, lead communication efforts, and create community engagement strategies to encourage the long-term success of refugee populations.

To be considered as a Community Integration Coordinator, you must have a bachelor’s degree and at least five (5) years of relevant work experience managing, designing, and developing programs. Additionally, you should have three (3) years of experience collaborating across cultures. Experience in event planning is preferred. Candidates may substitute a combination of education and experience on a year-for-year basis.
A valid driver’s license and willingness and ability to travel statewide are required for this position.

Location:
ND HHS utilizes a blended workplace model. This position may work from home within the state of North Dakota or bordering communities with the ability to travel throughout the state for community meetings.
