Join our team of corrections professionals with the ND Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation at James River Correctional Center (JRCC). We are looking for Licensed Practical Nurse to help provide care for the JRCC population.  These position's total compensation includes single/family health insurance with no monthly premium cost to you! James River Correctional Center, in Jamestown ND, is a medium custody facility that houses male residents and is part of the North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. The JRCC mission is to provide a safe environment to learn and practice skills necessary to be successful in the community.
 

Summary of Work

 

The individual will work as a team member in an infirmary/clinic setting and within the Medical and Psychiatric Service Program.  The position requires a holistic approach to health care service with emphasis on health maintenance through patient education and positive self-initiative.  Specific duties include but are not limited to:  provision of health care nursing to the resident population; dispensing medication; emergency nursing care; participation in behavioral management procedures and infection control; thorough documentation of patient care and medical records; and individual, group and wellness education. The position work schedule is rotating shifts in a 40-hour work week within a facility that is open 24/7, this includes varied shifts, including nights.

Minimum Qualifications

 

LPN requires current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse by the North Dakota Board of Nursing or licensure in another state and meet the eligibility requirements for licensure in North Dakota. North Dakota licensure is a condition of employment, and the employing agency will verify and document licensure upon appointment.  LPN Salary starts at $4,795.00 with full state benefits.  Sign on bonus on your first check is $3,500.
