To be considered an Engineering Tech IV, six years’ work experience related to the engineering technician duties listed. College-level course work and/or degree in an engineering or related field reflecting the required abilities for this position may be substituted for the required work experience on a year-for-year basis.
To be considered for an Engineering Technician III, you must have at least four years of work experience related to the engineering technician duties listed. College-level coursework and/or degree in an engineering or related field reflecting the required abilities for this position may be substituted for the required work experience on a year-for-year basis.
To be considered an Engineering Tech II, you must have a High School diploma or GED, and two years of related work experience. College-level coursework and/or degree in an engineering or related field may substitute for work requirement on a year-for-year basis.
To be considered an Engineering Technician I, you must have successful completion of a High School diploma or GED and demonstrated knowledge of fundamental math concepts.
At any level, you'll need to be able to work in all types of weather on a variety of uneven or slippery surfaces, have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and carry several items with a total weight of 50 pounds, and have a valid North Dakota Class D driver’s license in order to travel to project locations.
