HR Associate - Jamestown, ND - Human Resources

*Sign on bonus up to $3500*

Help the largest state agency maximize its service to vulnerable North Dakotans. The North Dakota Department of Human Services is seeking a Human Resources Associate for its State Hospital located in Jamestown, ND.

As our HR Associate, you will be the “boots on the ground” for State Hospital staff, drawing upon established guidelines and guidance from senior level staff to respond to and provide guidance on a variety of human resource questions and situations. You will become a part of a team that provides a comprehensive onboarding experience for team members. This includes conducting new team member orientation, explaining benefits and the benefit enrollment process. You will work to maintain and create a smooth process for recruiting, interviewing, performance management, FMLA and offboarding.  You’ll also work closely with the HR Business Partner to sustain the company’s productivity and support a healthy workplace, ensuring employees are satisfied and successful. 

To succeed in this position, you should be highly organized, able to manage your time and priorities effectively and have demonstrated ability to communicate HR policy and best practices with diverse group of stakeholders. You should be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships while working independently and within a team.

To be considered for this position, you must have a bachelor’s degree preferably in a related field, OR a combination of education and experience which demonstrates equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities in the field of HR. PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus.

Work Location: The successful candidate will be required to work onsite at the State Hospital in Jamestown, North Dakota.
