DEQ Starting Range: Environmental Scientist I - $4,163 / month (DOE)

                                    Environmental Scientist II - $4,971 / month (DOE)

SUMMARY OF WORK:

 

As our Environmental Scientist, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining North Dakota’s water/waste water operator certification program which includes training water/waste water system operators, planning the annual North Dakota Water and Pollution Control Conference; and assisting NDDEQ with water and waste water inspections as needed. 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. DEQ will not provide sponsorships.

DEQ is attempting to fill this position at the Environmental Scientist II level but reserves the right to underfill the position as an Environmental Scientist I. 

To be considered for an Environmental Scientist II, you must have a bachelor’s degree in natural or physical science with emphasis in biology, chemistry, microbiology, environmental science, or closely related field and two years of related experience. 

To be considered for an Environmental Scientist I, you must have a bachelor’s degree in natural or physical science with emphasis in biology, chemistry, microbiology, environmental science, or closely related field.
